Eye Candy!

I got to stay home today with my little sweetpea.
It wasn't on good terms though. She, unfortunately,
has got strep right now. However, it was really nice
to get to spend some good mommy/daughter
quality time. Even though she is sick, she sure doesn't
act like it. I do have to say that she seemed much
better today than she has the past couple of days.

Since I was at home today I got to do some looking
around at some other blogs. I've been needing to get
out there in the blog world and meet some fellow
bloggers. I've come across a few so far that I really
like. And there are some that I've known about all
along, but haven't ever stopped by to look at them.
One that I've heard of before is Picky Palate. I love
to bake more than anything, so I stopped by this
one to take a look around. I must say I'm in love with
this blog. They have some really amazing recipes on there!
Their most recent post is a recipe called
Honeyed Apple Peanut Butter Tart.
I most definitely am going to have to make this. Just
take a look for yourself and see how delicious this looks! You can get all the info on this recipe by clicking
on the name of it above the picture!

I know that I can't wait to try this out! I'm so excited
that I found this. You know you're a true house wife
when you're ecstatic about finding new recipes! Haha!

Have a good night everybody! I'll keep you posted on
little Miss Grace!

What's New?

Well I think that everyone has survived their
first week back to school or your child's first week
back. Brad started going back to school this year,
and I know that he couldn't be more excited to
see what the future has in store for him! And I'm
so happy for him too!

But something else that is new and fun is my new
blog layout if you haven't already noticed! I still have
some other changes that I'm going to be making, but
those will have to wait for another night!

I also want to hear some opinions from those of you that
do read and comment on my blog. (And for those of you
that still aren't leaving comments, please do! I would love
to see all of the people that are reading!) Anyway, I want
some opinions or suggestions of some different things
that I can blog about to make it more interesting for you.
Sometimes I feel that I'm writing about the same thing
over and over again. It may be a different event, but it's the
same ol' thing to me! This is also part of my "new" topic
tonight! I want to know what is something new that I can
bring to you?! I asked not too long ago about some ideas
for a giveaway. And you know what?! I heard absolutely
nothing......from any of you! It was a big disappointment.
I really hope to get some more feedback from this topic
tonight. It'll only take a few minutes for you to say something
back so don't be shy! I'm really looking forward to anything
and everything that you might want to say.

......and last but not leastwhat's new with you?

Have a good week everyone!

I Scream, You Scream

We all scream for ice cream!!!

.......Or at least my little nephew does!

The poor little guy just wanted to feed it
to himself! But I know how that was when
Grace had just turned one. Man, she went
through this huge independence stage!
Now she's just a little in between, it all depends
on what we're doing.
His pouty lip is just as pitiful as Grace's is! Haha!
But oh how it makes my heart melt to see that little face!
Yes! They finally gave in! Haha! I'm just
teasing you guys!
Now just watch how quickly that little face
brightens up!
All better! Love you sweet little man!
Aunt Kasey sure is glad that you enjoyed
that fudge pop! Love you!

Sweet Serenades

There's a big event coming up for my
family. We couldn't be more excited for
our Aunt Kathy and Uncle Billy that are
about to celebrate their 30th wedding
anniversary. It's really cool because we all
have our own little role to play in this event.
I'm of course going to be the photographer,
and then there is one particular role that
I can't wait for everyone to see.

My brother, Cory, and my cousin, Gabby,
are going to be performing an original song
for the ceremony. Those are the best songs
ever! My dad and Cory performed an original
song at my wedding and it was absolutely
beautiful! Gabby just came into town this past
weekend to practice the song with Cory. I of
course had to go over and get some pictures
of this. Is was absolutely amazing and a little
emotional to hear them play together. The song
couldn't be any more perfect for my Aunt and
Uncle. I wish that I had a video recording to show
you, but the song is not supposed to be heard
by my Aunt and Uncle yet.

So here are some of my favorites!

Gabby has such an amazing voice! It gives me goose
bumps whenever I hear her sing! It's so angelic!
And Cory is an amazing musician himself! His
technique on the guitar is out of this world as
well as his voice. And the ability for him to write
such a sentimental song for my Aunt and Uncle
brings happiness to my heart!
It was so funny because Gabby kept looking up
at Cory to make sure that she was going through
the verses correctly. She wants this to be perfect
for her parents. Don't worry Gabby, you're going to
be great!
It was so much fun getting to hear them play
and to capture these memories for my family.
I've always loved hearing my brother play ever
since we were youngins'. Haha!

Thank you guys for letting me invade your space
while you were playing! Haha! You really do sound
wonderful, and you know that Aunt Kathy and Uncle
Billy are going to love it!

Aunt Kathy and Uncle Billy, thank you for asking
me to be apart of capturing your memories for
you. It truly is an honor to do this for you!
We all love you very much and can't wait for the show
to begin! And I hope that you enjoy this post as much
as I do!

Colorful Bath Time

I got my little pookie some color tabs
for her bath water. They had Elmo on them
and she started tossing them in the grocery
basket saying "Elmo, Elmo". Haha!

But our first mistake was that we put all of
them in at once. Well Grace kinda wanted all
of them at once. That gave us nothing but
black water! Grace didn't care. She thought
that the tabs were pretty cool when they would
fizz up.She even tried to eat them. Ew! As you can see here
she has a little bit of red above her lip. She's looking at
me like "what, I had to try it out!"Gross!
So then we drained the tub and only gave her one
tab. We chose blue. It was pretty cool. I love all the
fun stuff they make for kids.Fun stuff!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

My Sweetness

I just love this sweet face!

Just thought I'd let you all know that.

She makes me happy!
......and apparently I make her pretty happy too!

Oink, Oink

I love it that Grace has started to learn how to
make all of the farm animal noises. Or at least
attempt to make the noises. The attempts are much
funnier. She loves mooing like a cow a lot, and every
time she sees one she makes the noise instead of
saying cow. But her new favorite one to do is a pig.
She just started doing it yesterday. It is so hilarious.

See for yourselves!

See isn't it cute!!! Instead of breathing in through
her nose she breaths out. Haha! It's so funny!

I love my cute little piggy!

You Are My Sunshine

My sweet Grace,
you turned 20 months old today.
I am amazed at everything you have
learned and how fast you have learned
it all. It sure is a blessing to have you in
my life every minute, every hour, everyday!

Although you have started to hit the
dramatic stage, it sure is funny sometimes.
When you don't get your way you throw
THE biggest fits ever. But you haven't done
that in public yet. Thank goodness! I'm sure my
time is coming soon.

You're extremely social and very outgoing.
Whenever we're at the store you're constantly
saying "hi" to everyone and giving really cheesy
smiles. You know you're cute! Haha!

Your new favorite thing to do is to say "watch
moomie". Translation, "watch movie". And when
you say watch you shake your head up and down
like it's a rattle. I'll have to record it sometime because
it's the funniest thing. It's so cute when you say
"strawberry". It sounds like this when you say it,
strawberry-ry-ry-ry. Haha! It's pretty funny as well.

You've learned how to say all of your body parts.
And you know where every single one of them is.
We just recently figured out that she knows how
to say "hiney" for her bottom. I would've rather
her picked up on a different term, but that's how it
turned out.

And best of all, you can finally feed yourself like a big
girl, 100%! And just so everyone knows, she's known how
to do this, but she's always chosen mommy to feed her
because I always gave into it for fear of her not getting
enough food.

We haven't switched you over to a toddler bed yet,
but we're thinking it's almost time. I hope it works out
okay. I'm pretty nervous about it. We'll see!

Your favorite things to eat are strawberries of course.
That's why you know how to say it so well. Also apples,
spinach, broccoli and cheese, and a new favorite is pineapple
and cantaloupe. I'm liking that your picking up on all of these
yummy fruits. Makes me a happy mommy!

And despite your cranky moments that you've been having
lately, you're still such a sweet, sweet girl. You just know how
to put on a really good show! Haha!

Mommy and daddy love you oh so much! Now we have
to start planning for your 2nd birthday party. This is
going to be so much fun. I'm still trying to decide on what
kind of theme we should do. If anyone has any suggestions
send them my way. It sure would help out. Her birthday
is in December. But it doesn't have to be a winter theme.
Think outside the box if you will.

Oh and she's still having a really good
time staying with Nicole and Delilah during the day.
It's funny because she's started picking up on some of
the things that Delilah does. She's a very observant little
girl! Her and Delilah are just absolutely adorable when they
play. I can't wait to do a post about them.

And just some cute pictures of Grace with her new little
tricycle. She hasn't figured out the peddles yet, but she
loves to push herself around on it all the time. I love the outfit
I had her in that day! Just thought I should let you know
that. Haha!
Some of your favorite activities are playing with your
Play-Doh, coloring (of course), and bubbles. I don't know
how many times a day I hear you say "bubbles"! You also
try to find anything and everything in the house that has
a button. You looooove buttons. Especially the touch-screen
buttons on the DVD player. You're such a silly girl!

But lets face it, I could go forever and ever on this list of
new things that you do. It's so hard to keep up with how
fast you're learning everything. I hate that it's gone by so
fast, but I also can't wait to see what's in store for you in
the future! You're such a bright little girl with your
smartness and personality.

As the title says you are my sunshine!

We love you sweet Grace!

Oh Happy Days

I hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday.
I know we did! Getting to spend time as a
family is always a special treat!
Photobucket

So I'm thinking about doing my very first give away! It's
about time! I have been dying to do one of these. The hard
part is deciding on what I want to do. You can help me out by
giving me some suggestions! I've tried doing a little brain-
storming on my own, but I'd like to hear what you have to
say! You can leave me a comment on here or on Facebook.
Can't wait to hear what you have to say!

Have a good night!

Just a Good Day

Last weekend Bradley and I were asked to watch
our niece and nephew, and we happily did just that!
Grace, Carrie, and Colton always have so much fun
when they are around each other. Grace always
follows Carrie where ever she goes, and Colton always
follows right behind both of them. Grace really loves
them both so much, but she really looks up to her
cousin Carrie. We had such a good time with all of
them, and we took a little venture over to the
park to have some fun.

Grace was overly excited about going to the park and
as soon as we got there she took off running like she was
free. Haha! She's just a completely different child when
she's at the park. We all swung together. They went down
the slides. And Carrie took turns on the merry-go-round
with Brad and Grace. Brad would spin her and then she
would spin Brad and Grace. It was so cute! It was a lot of
fun! I love it when they all get to hang out together.
Photobucket
It was just a great afternoon all in all!
We love you Carrie and Colton!

Pretty In Pink

I'm guilty as charged. I hardly ever gussy up my little
girl! And to be honest, she's never liked it anyway.

Except for now. Now she loves to wear hats!
I love that because this girl is absolutely adorable
in hats. She's definitely got the face for them!

And I've tried to be better at buying her more dresses.
It's just hard to keep them on her. Grace is still going through
the phase of undressing down to nothing. So when I buy
dresses I have to make sure that they have bottoms or else
my child will be running around commando! Not cool!

So we found her some hats and some pretty little
dresses to have for the rest of the summer. Almost every
day she wears this pink hat in particular. Her little friend
at the babysitter's house has these exact same hats. Grace
has tried to leave with them, and with those attempts I just
decided to go buy her some that are the same.

Here is my beautiful little girl all decked out in pink!
Oh she's too cute!
Photobucket
Photobucket

.....and this next one is my absolute favorite.
I couldn't decide whether I wanted to use the full
color or a fade, so I'm putting both.
Photobucket
We were playing chase in the backyard and I
really adore this picture of Grace. Like I mentioned last
night, it's so sweet because of how happy she is in the picture.

Then we did a little swinging. This is where some of my
favorites are. Grace let Nicole, her babysitter, paint her
finger nails that day! Yes, her finger nails. Now I've painted
her toes before, but never attempted the finger nails yet.
They were so cute. The polish is long gone now and Grace
won't let us paint them again. So anyway......here we go!
Photobucket

This next one is the best!!!!!
Photobucket
Ahhh!!! I love it!

Photobucket
Just being silly ol' Grace!

......and last but never the least, her
piercing blue eyes!
Photobucket

I feel a little more motivated to dress her up just
because of how cute she looks every time I do dress
her up. If only I could get her to wear bows again. That
was short lived! Haha!

Well I hope you all enjoyed!

Have a wonderful night!

Jump N' Jive Fun

Getting to take Grace to new places is always
something that we look forward to. Seeing her
reaction to new things is absolutely priceless! It
never gets old.

A new place that Grace got to go to this past month
was the Jump N' Jive jump house here in Amarillo.
She was invited to go to a birthday party and boy
did she have a blast! She never seemed to run out of
energy and just wanted to keep going and going like the
energizer bunny. Man what it was like to have that
much energy! I miss it!

Here are some of the pictures I took of Miss Grace
having a ball!
Photobucket
It was not the easiest thing in the world to
take pictures while being in the jump house with
her, but somehow I managed! Haha! She was making
the silliest faces and I just couldn't put my camera
down. I'm so glad that we got invited to go to the party
and I can't wait to take Grace again. And maybe
next time Daddy can join us. Poor Brad was stuck at
work that day. So I'll let him get in the jump house with
her next time because, wow, that is a work out!

And by the way my favorites are the very top right hand
corner and the very bottom right hand corner. The first one
she was peaking at me through these blow up trees. It was
so funny. It was a great place for her to play hide and seek as
well. Then the second one I mentioned is cute because of how
happy she is while running through the jump house. I love
moments like that where she is full of happiness.

I look forward to many, many more moments like this
with my little sweetpea!

*Leave me some comment love*

Fort Worth Vacation

Yes, you're all seeing this correctly. I have finally
made it back to my blog to post about our vacation in
Fort Worth. Which, by the way, was a blast!!! We were
so worried about the drive there and back because of
Grace. She becomes a little unhappy after being in her car
seat for so long. But what toddler wouldn't? It went pretty
smooth there. It was a little rough coming back. But now
we know what changes to make for next time!

Okay, so I've made three different collages. There are so
many pictures from the trip, and these are not nearly all of
them. What I'll try to do is tell the events in the order that
they are shown in the collages. Hope you all enjoy! :)

We had so much fun on our way to Fort Worth. And Grace
was being such a goofball on the way. Making silly faces, singing,
and.....smelling her feet! Her response every time after smelling
is "shoowee!" Makes me laugh every time!

Our first morning there, Grace discovered herself a new little
lounging spot. The dog's beds. Yep....she would do something
like that. The dogs were very nervous the whole time because
Grace was always shrieking with excitement. We found one of the
dogs with her head under a pillow while Grace was playing. They
just weren't so fond of it. But Grace thought it was pretty funny.

One of my favorite parts of the trip, getting to finally hang out with
Libby and Noah at Pump It Up! Even though it wasn't for very long,
we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I was so excited
that we got to see them. We'll definitely have to plan another time
so that we can hang out longer. Noah was making my aunt and I
laugh so hard. He just wasn't too sure of us. It was pretty cute! All
I could do was say "you're so cute!" And Grace was such a big girl
wanting to go down that humongous slide all by herself. I love the
action shot of her that I caught!

Next was an eventful lunch! Aunt Sherry was the one that got her
going I have to say. There was spinach everywhere as you can see.
She was being so goofy while she was playing with it. She would put it
back in the bowl, then take it back out, and then she would spread
it all over her tray. Then she wanted to give mommy some kisses
and hugs. That was cute even though she was rubbing it all in the back
of my hair at the same time. Haha! Oh Grace you're such a delight
as I always say!

The random picture in the middle of my Aunt Sherry and I is one
of my favorites. We were off to have a girls night out! It was too much
fun! We'll have to do that again sometime soon.

After that, just some pictures of Grace being silly. And the one
of her and Bradley together is too cute! You see Brad loooves
Manwiches. I can't stand them. So when we go to see Aunt Sherry
she makes him a big bowl to have. Enjoy them while you can Brad.
Haha! And Grace seemed to enjoy them as well.
All I have to say is yuck!
Photobucket

Our next event was Saturday night. We invited some more
relatives over that don't live too far away. Remember the post about
my cousin Gabby? Well it was her and the rest of her family. It was
so much fun. We got to watch Grace and her cousin Mackenzie play.
Mackenzie is about 5 months older, but you wouldn't ever have guessed
since Grace is the same size as her. All of these pictures just melt my
heart. They were absolutely wonderful together!!!

It was their first time to see each other since last April. Grace was
4 months old and Mackenzie was 9 months old. It was much easier for
them to play this time around. They ran around in the back yard
together. They would follow each other everywhere they went!
One of my favorites is the very middle picture of Mackenzie. She was
half dancing and running at the same time and it turned out so cute!
I love that she still has so much baby chubbiness to her. Grace and
Mackenzie shared several kisses and hugs. So sweet!

And little Miss Mackenzie is quite the cake lover! See her drooling
over the cake?! Haha! She would stand there and patiently wait while
licking her lips. It was so cute! You gotta love kids at this age!

Oh and another favorite is the one of Mackenzie holding her fingers
up. That's her saying "No, no, no girlfriend!" Haha! It was hilarious!
Photobucket

Our last full day there, we went to Toys R' Us. Grace got some
Play-Doh and some pretend food to play with. She needed more
food to go with her kitchen. Here are the last of tonight's pictures
of her playing with her Play-Doh. She loves her Play-Doh. And most
of the time she just wants to stack the containers. But her favorite
thing to do is, of course, squish it between her fingers. Haha!
And yes, like all children will do, she has tasted it and ate a very
small piece. She, thankfully, thought that it was very yucky!
Photobucket

*Sigh*

I'm glad that I was finally able to sit down and
share this story with all of you! I know that the family
has been waiting very patiently to see these. I hope
you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

*Don't forget to leave comments*

Have a good night everyone!
