Through all of our crazy and busy schedules, we were finally able to make a way overdue trip to my brother's house Tuesday night. Oh how refreshing it was to sit around, let the kids play, and chat it up. Grace gets along with her cousins very well. Carrie, being the oldest, plays a big part in being the big sister. Not only is she Colton's big sister, but it feels like it with Grace too. She's very good with both of them. Keeping them entertained at all times. Grace and Colton are so close in age they just jibber-jabber in their own baby/toddler language. It's really funny. And the cutest part is that all three really love to give/receive kisses.
I took a few pictures of the little ones playing together. Colton has definitely gotten a lot of new expressions.
I don't know what had him so tickled in this last picture, but it sure was cute.
Then I had to take a few of Colton outside. Next time I need to get some of him and Carrie together. I'm terrible about getting wrapped up in the babies. Babies have a way of consuming all of my attention. Maybe it's because they're just so darn cute! See for yourself!

It was very hard for us to leave that evening. We enjoyed watching the kids so much that we did not want to leave. At least Easter is right around the corner, and that's going to be a blast watching all of them Easter egg hunting. Can't wait!

Wow! This has been such a beautiful day! Oh how Grace and I have longed for this day to finally be here. She didn't have to wear a light jacket, but she did have to wear some sunscreen. The temperature was perfect. Not too hot!
Another words it was a great day to finally get out of the house! It started out with this morning. I was in the kitchen doing dishes and I had the backdoor open to let the fresh air come in. Grace stood there wanting to stand on the porch so bad. So I went and grabbed a pair of shoes for her, slipped them on, and got some nice footage of just how excited she was! Let me tell you, this girl could not be any happier. She has been so full of life all day. That's what I love to see. This video is almost two minutes long. My apologies for that, but I just had to prove how long this went on. And the original video is three minutes long.
The part in there where she says "Da" is her new nickname for daddy. It's so cute. She'll walk around the house looking for him and she'll be saying that the whole time.
Then our next adventure outside was this afternoon. After Grace took a good nap we headed out front to the park. I got her all ready and just as I was grabbing my stuff Grace went running straight for the door, anxiously trying to open it because she knew exactly where we were going. Grace went swinging, sliding, and a whole bunch of walking. I thought she was going to wear herself out, but I can't forget who I'm talking about here. Grace will never show a sliver of tiredness.
Now for our last time outside today. We of course had to include daddy in all of the fun. After he got home, and after dinner we took Grace out one last time before bed. Still not showing any signs of being worn out, Grace took her tiny little shovel and rake to play in the dirt. Normally, I would have let her play with it in the grass, but no daddy had to show her how to dig in the dirt. I was really fine with it because she was about to take a bath anyway. So I said let her go for it.
At first when we went out I told myself to grab my camera, but didn't. Then when Grace decided to try out the dirt, I ran in and got my camera. I missed the dirt eating action, but got some with her playing in the dirt. She's so frilly though. She would barely even touch it. As if she was saying, "Ew gross! Dirt!" Sometimes I wonder.
Whoo! That was a lot of outdoor adventure for us today. But it was highly needed! The next few days are supposed to be like this and I'm so excited! Maybe the weather has finally decided that we've had enough snow.

Oh what a weekend this has been! I have to admit that today has been much better. Grace actually ate something at every meal. That makes Grace happy, and then mommy is happy, which makes daddy happy. Haha!
Now to get ready for this weekend! Easter weekend! Yay! All we really need to do is decorate some eggs because what would Easter be without decorating some eggs. I'm not quite sure how to do this with Grace yet. All I know is that whatever we do, it will be a mess of fun!
In preparation for Easter, I had to try a new do' on Grace yesterday. I put some sponge rollers in her hair to make it more curly. She was very good at sitting still for me too. She's only patient when she wants to be.
It turned out very cute indeed!
I think I pretty much have all my ducks in a row, or bunnies I should say. How about all of you? Do you all have some good plans for this weekend? Let's just keep our fingers crossed that the weather will be pretty.
As our little baby keeps getting taller and taller, she has found out that she is more able to reach the high stuff. Not just with her arms, but with those long legs too. She has recently discovered that those long legs can climb! Oh how I've dreaded for this to happen, but it's here and it's not going away.
Fortunately, she has only discovered that she can climb on her toy box. I think it grabbed her attention because there are a set of shelves above that toy box. And of course all the little things that Grace cannot have are on those shelves. Just a few mornings ago, I was doing dishes and I thought that I'd better check on her to see what she was up to. Oh she was definitely up to something......up to those shelves.
I took a few pictures, but in these she is only playing with her stereo. Yesterday she got caught on the toy box, and she lost her balance and fell on her back. But no worries, she is just fine. She's still being her silly self without a doubt. But that little accident hasn't stopped her curiosity. I'll just have to keep a closer eye on my sneaky little girl.

Alrighty everyone! The video you've all been waiting for is finally here. I'm so excited to be sharing this with all of you because a lot of people think I'm bluffing when I tell them that Grace can say "how are you?". Her doctor looked at me like I was crazy!
Anyway, here it is. The first time she says it isn't 100% clear, so listen for the second time she says it because it is much more clearer.
See? Isn't cute! I love to hear her say that all the time. We've been trying to get her to say Grandma, and the other night my Grandma was over and Grace said to her "how are you, Grandma?". We just stopped, and gasped, and looked at each other with amazement! It was so cool!
I can't wait to hear what else she will start saying. I will definitely be sharing it with all of you when she does say something new!

Today was the day for Grace to go see the dentist. Dentists recommend that children should have their first check up 6 months after their first tooth. I searched for a good pediatric dentist and was a little skeptical of a few, but no worries because I think I found the perfect place. We went to Amarillo Pediatric Dentistry, and that place was amazing. It was the perfect atmosphere for kids. I must say I know that Grace liked it a lot too. She was really happy to have a flower balloon made for her. While we waited, she explored as much as she could. She even tried to run in the back before it was our time go in the back. She's a very observant child.
The exam went really good! Grace was a little scared at first and shed a few tears just because she didn't know what that doctor was doing looking in her mouth. He said that her teeth look great so far and that her first molar is coming in. I can't believe it! She has eight teeth right now and lately I've been checking often to see if anymore were coming in. I finally saw today that indeed there are more coming. Her first molar is just barely peeking through, but is definitely there. After her check up she got to pick out a prize for being so brave and good. We got the clapper hands. One of the best noise makers! Haha!
I'm so glad that her first visit went so well. And I really expected it to, too.
So to leave you with something that's pretty funny, here's Grace yesterday afternoon when I got her up from her nap.
She recently has figured how to get undressed. First it started out with her pj's and now this. We can't ever let her take a nap without putting pants on her because she also knows how to take her diaper off, and rather enjoys being in the nude! I just hope that it doesn't happen in public. Eeek!
Alright, well that's my humor......I mean Grace's humor for the day!
I have to admit that when I first found out that I was pregnant I hoped for a boy. Well we both did. When we found out that we were having a girl we were still very excited, but needed to get used to the idea. And I gotta tell ya, I'm so glad for having a little girl. I wouldn't trade anything in the world for my sweet Grace. I wouldn't trade the moments of getting to go pick out a holiday dress for her. Going to find the perfect little shoes and accessories is one of my favorites. No, actually my favorite part is getting to make her something to go along with the outfit.
This year we went very early to go pick out the perfect little Easter dress for her. Oh how I'm so excited and can't wait to show you what she looks like in it. But you'll have to wait because I'm not completely finished with the accessories. About the accessories, the weekend that we went to the flea market, there was a lady selling tiny crochet flower hair clips. I bought a couple and I really wanted to figure out how to make them myself so that I could make one to go with Grace's Easter dress. Here are some pictures of the pair I bought.
I had to add in a few extras because Grace was being such a good model for me! Haha! Oh and this is not the Easter dress for those of you who haven't seen it.
Thankfully, I already know how to crochet because my Grandma taught me when I was about 10 years old. Thanks Grandma because if I hadn't already known the basics, this little project would've taken me forever! I was able to find a pattern that was exactly like the flower I had bought. You can click here to see it. And here is the one that I made. I haven't finished it all the way, but I was so proud of myself for making one and just had to show it off!
I'm going to make a ribbon bow and place this in the center to go with the dress. I also got some stuff from my home away from home (Hobby Lobby) to make a bracelet to go with the dress. Once I finish it you know I'll be showing it as well. Hopefully with the next post about this topic I can just show the whole outfit together with Miss Grace wearing it!
Grace seems like such a girlie-girl already with the way she prances around, I'm sure she won't mind me dressing her like one. Plus I have to while I've got the chance! Right?!
This is just one reason of why I love having a girl among many, many other reasons! We definitely are blessed!
Grace was so adorable getting to eat her first sucker. We have tried before to give her suckers, but she has had no interest. She's always tried to give it to Brad and I instead.
So yesterday Brad sat down and was eating a sucker, and Grace just had to have it. Well I remembered that I still had a sucker in my purse from her doctor visit and I gave it to her. I finally was able to convince her that she could eat the sucker and that it was okay.
When she finally figured it out, she was loving that sucker. I think she enjoyed it more for teething because drool was stringing from her mouth like crazy. It was so funny!

After it was all said and done, the front of Grace's shirt was all wet. Her little fingers were all sticky. And her face was all sticky from rubbing the sucker on her cheeks. Haha! Like I always say she's such a silly girl.
The side effects from cold weather can be rather rewarding sometimes. Like tonight for example! Brad and I have a movie to watch. And I have Häagen Dazs Chocolate Chocolate Chip ice cream! Mmmm! My favorite! I heart this stuff like I heart my camera! Okay maybe not that much. But it sure is good!
Should I shamefully mention the movie that we are watching? Alright I guess so. We are watching the New Moon movie, you know the continuation of Twilight. I really have to say that we are absolutely not Twilight addicts. I do not own the book collection. I did not wait in line for it to release at midnight either! Luckily, we have Netflix and it's awesome.
Surprisingly, this is not a post about Grace tonight. Sorry, I just can't help writing about that sweet baby of mine! She's doing something new everyday! One thing that I do have to tell you about her is that she got some play money today from her Uncle Cory! She loves it and we count it a lot! And so now she has her very own money to put in her purse!
So I'm going to go get that movie ready for tonight and you all have a great rest of the weekend.

Recently, she got her very own purse from her Grandma Sue! She got it to prevent her from going through other people's purses. But that didn't work out. In other people's purses Grace can find cell phones, car keys, and money! Yes people Grace knows what those dollar bills are! Unfortunately, Grace cannot seem to find the car keys and money in her purse, but here's what she can find!

First, I just want to say Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all.
I had an awesome day with Miss Grace. She was so cute in her St. Patrick's t-shirt. The only thing it was missing was a green bow to go with it. I remembered to wear green, but Brad forgot so I pinched him. Haha! It's okay, I love you honey!
Other than that, I video taped Grace prancing around on her tip-toes today! She's so funny when she does it. So I'll let you get straight to the video.
......and sorry about my weird laughing. Sometimes I get so consumed by Grace that I'm not listening to myself.

Brad actually found her one day in her empty laundry basket just laying in there with her blanket like she was going to sleep! Wish I could have seen it.
But on this day I found her. I found her talking to herself in the laundry basket.
I found her having a blast with something that I despise doing.
She was even trying to put the cloths on over what she already had on, but as you see that was unsuccessful! Haha! (and as a side note people, please don't look in the messy closet!)
I love that I found her that day because when I walked in I busted out laughing. It's things like this that make my worries go away. It's my daughter that makes me smile everyday.
I love you Grace. And just so you know you can do laundry for mommy any day.
It's nice to be back writing a blog for tonight. Yesterday I was a little preoccupied and was just too tired to sit down and write anything.Today my schedule was a lot more open, so we decided to take Grace out to the flea market. Ever wonder why they call it the flea market? I do..... But anyway, Grace has never been out there before and I thought that she might enjoy looking at all the different stuff they have. After all it's like a huge garage sale and there's never ending piles of odds and ends out there.

I mainly like to go for the miniature donuts that they're known for. These donuts are like little pieces of heaven. The way they just melt in your mouth and the oh-so yummy icing! Is your mouth watering yet? Mine is just thinking about it. Haha.
Anyway, enough about the donuts. I was really excited for Grace to try them.
......and she did. But silly mommy didn't take a picture of the happiness that was wrote all over her sweet little face. You ask "what is wrong with you?" I don't know where my head was at, but my camera was hanging right around my neck. There must have been some kind of miscommunication between my head and my finger to snap the picture. Never again!
However, I did catch the happiness here with her little ladybug balloon. I just love it. She thought it was pretty cool to squeeze and pinch the balloon. Good thing it didn't pop!
Last, but never the least, I have to add a couple of photos of my sweet little nephew, Colton. He's grown and changed so much! Grace and him are buddies! While we were walking around, Grace insisted on stopping in the middle of the walk way to stop and just look at him. She kept throwing her hands in the air at him like she was saying, "Get out and walk with me!" It was so cute!
He thoroughly enjoyed his donut!
To say the least, we had a wonderful time hanging out with our family on this beautiful Sunday.

This child has some wild and crazy hair when she gets up from a nap. The other day I just couldn't keep it out of her face for nothing in the world. Here I am trying to feed her while her hair is just dangling in her face. Some people have told me that it's time for hair cut. Absolutely not is what I say! I'll just keep pulling it back until it decides to lay more willingly against her head. So that's exactly what I did! I pulled it up to the side of her head and had my joy of taking pictures of it. The back of her hair was still an absolute mess, but that's okay because it looked even more cute! You all might be asking what the 80's have to do with this. Well just take a look for yourself! The first one shows it the best.
To me with that side half-ponytail and her fluffy hair in the back it really reminds me of the 80's. The side half-ponytail was so popular then and is strangely enough coming back! I've seen a lot of clothing stores stocking their racks with 80's cloths!!! It's weird to see the fashion come back that I was born into. I guess it's something that I didn't expect to see until I was older. But my sweetie rocks it the best!

I'm so excited that I now have a blog to share our memories with everyone. I have worked so hard on this blog in getting it set up just the way I wanted it to be. I found another blogger that is pretty much the blogging queen. Some of you may know her already, but I have to give her credit for having amazing blog tutorials. Her name is Amanda. I also have to give credit to another blogger named Libby. These two people have really inspired me in making my own blog. Now I don't know Amanda personally, but I faithfully check her blog out. Then Libby and I met one time at a birthday party through a mutual friend, Chriselda. Libby's little boy reminds me so much of my daughter and I love hearing her stories. You can check out their blogs by simply clicking on their names above. I just felt that they had something to do with me starting my own and that I needed to give them recognition for it.
Moving on, I'll give an introduction to myself. I'm 23 years old, but somehow I feel older than this. Sometimes I think that I'm trapped in a younger person's body. I've always been told that I act more mature than my age. I personally take that as a compliment. So thank you to anyone that has told me that. I'm married to such a wonderful man. We are high school sweethearts! His name is Brad and we've been together for 7 years and married for 2 years. We have a beautiful daughter, Grace, that is now 15 months old as of today. You can read about this big ray of sunshine on the right. I could go on and on about Grace and she is one of my main purposes for this blog. Expect about 97% of the blogs to be about her! Haha! Another passion of mine is photography. I love photographing anything and everything. I went to our local community college to learn more about it and earned an Associates Degree. It was an amazing journey because we learned how to process film and photographs the old fashioned way.
Enough about that already!
I think I rambled on enough for the first blog! Haha! I'll be leaving posts daily or every other day. It just depends on how the day goes. For my first blog I'm going to leave you with a sweet picture of my baby girl!

Grace blessed our lives on December 10th, 2008 and we wouldn't change that for anything. She mostly has her daddy's personality, mommy's attitude, and is just a silly girl all the way around! She's such a happy girl and always shows it. Grace is constantly making us laugh with her random, goofy acts. She loves dancing all the time. I swear this little girl constantly has music playing in her head. She's always twirling and has recently started walking on her tip-toes like a ballerina! It's the cutest thing. She's a non-stop talker. When she's supposed to be taking a nap you'll usually hear her in her bedroom talking up a storm, I guess to all her stuffed animals. One of her cutest things to say right now is, "How are you?", but when she says it it's more like "owie you?". She is mommy's best photography subject. She loves having her pictures taken. She's definitely going to be a ham! All in all, we love Grace to pieces!!!! We are so glad that she is here in our lives!
